"So does this mean you don't hate me anymore?"
"I think it means... I actually kinda like you.
...but don't EVER break up with me again."
So on Saturday, my dear friend ~xXBrokenMemoriesXx had an Avatar-themed birthday party, and she went as Zuko, and since I had promised quite a while back that I would, I matched her as Mai.
Even though it was rather hot, it was nowhere NEAR the type of heat from Japan, so even though she had tons of layers, Mai wasn't that bad, haha. xD I had so much fun being Mai, since I just got to be irritated the whole time, and it was fun to be able to snag ~xXBrokenMemoriesXx just about whenever I felt like. xDD I did give her ample time to mingle, however, (I think) and we had all sorts of fun playing these two.
We took some pictures with ~bluerosegoddess at one point in the party that I am greatly looking forward to, though this one taken by ~Taymeho was more candid, and I really liked how it came out. There are lots of shippy pictures from this day, but this one has almost a commanding feel to it; certainly showing that while Mai loves to please Zuko and be sure that he's happy, she certainly has a huge handle on their relationship. xDD
As for the costume itself, it would not have been possible without my amazing Ty Lee: *KikiKabuki, as she came and helped me finish it the night before. =w=
I was so glad she came to help me so that I could have it for that special occasion. I do want to make a few adjustments to it, so it fits me better and is a bit more polished, but it came out REALLY well for it being pretty much a one-night project. 
I'll shut up now. xD Though expect more from this event! It was so much fun~
